Your Reset Isn't Broken. It's Just Not Elite Yet

You've been there: you dig out a tough ball, get it back over the net clean, and the other team just... puts it away anyway. Getting the ball over is only half the job.

The gap between average and elite resets comes down to five things:

  • Height: inches above the net, not feet.
  • Bounce: dead by the kitchen line, not sitting up mid-court for the taking.
  • Contact point: opponents hitting up from their knees, not down from their waist.
  • Recovery: you're already moving before the ball lands.
  • Purpose: forcing an upward swing, every single time.

Get those five right and the point flips back to neutral instead of ending in a putaway against you.

See what separates a good reset from a great one.
