Its a keeper!

My impression of this paddle as promised:

Its a keeper! The Nomex core delivers the immediacy I desire and yet the carbon face cools things enough so they don’t go wild.

My impression of this paddle as promised:

Its a keeper! The Nomex core delivers the immediacy I desire and yet the carbon face cools things enough so they don’t go wild.  I did throw some long shots at first but thats more like getting used to the new paddle.  My service gained potency and my dinks listened better.  Some players like a “forgiving” paddle; I prefer “responsive” so that I am rewarded or punished because I deserve it.  Surprisingly the Kratos deals out more and better spin than my Paddletek Wave Pro (graphite faced) and Selkirk Invictas (fiberglass faced).  In short the Kratos plays like some of my super premium table tennis special laminated wooden paddles with hard (dense) sponge surface.

Craftsmanship and attention to detail: excellent. The paddle-end wrap as well as the gray ribbed edge guard were extra touches.  As delivered the graphite face had not a single nipple or dent or wave and other minor abnormalities.  The 4 3/8 grip feels slightly big but does not hurt hand or cause strain in play.  If I ordered 4 1/4, on the other hand, it would be slightly too small.  So thats just my hand.  Perhaps some day you happen to come near Boston, MA, you can completely customize the grip for me, IQ and all.

Bottom line: a keeper.
